The Midi series by Schatz 1881 is the brand's mid-size format: a solid brass case of ø155 mm with hinged bezel, in polished brass (references 450) or chrome-plated brass (453). It is the most versatile size: large enough for a saloon, discreet enough for a cabin or the bulkhead of the wheelhouse.
This is also where the most coveted piece of the catalogue lives: the 8-day mechanical ship's bell clock (450 CM / 453 CM), with an 11-jewel movement that is wound once a week. Alongside it: quartz clocks with or without bells, the time-and-tide clock, Hi-Sensitiv barometers (including the double-diaphragm and inch-Hg versions), the baro-thermometer and the comfortmeter, which combines hygrometer and thermometer in one dial.
