About our privacy policy
Shipsworld.NL BV cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data we need to provide (and improve) our services and handle the information collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This policy applies to the use of the website and the services of RelojesNauticos.es. The effective date of this version is 20/08/2026; with the publication of a new version, all previous versions cease to be valid. This policy describes which data we collect about you, what it is used for and with whom and under which conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against misuse and which rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

Shop software and web hosting
PrestaShop – shop software
Our shop is built with PrestaShop software. Personal data you provide to us for our services is not shared with this party, and PrestaShop has no access to your data.

TransIP BV – web hosting
For our web hosting we have chosen the services of TransIP BV. Personal data you provide to us is shared with this party. TransIP BV only accesses your data to provide us with (technical) support and will never use it for any other purpose. TransIP BV is contractually obliged to take appropriate security measures, consisting of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. TransIP BV makes regular backups to prevent data loss.

TransIP BV – domain hosting and e-mail services
We purchase domain and e-mail services from TransIP BV. TransIP BV does not process personal data of yours and does not use your data for its own purposes, though it naturally handles the company details of Shipsworld.NL BV and may collect metadata about the use of the services, which is not personal data. TransIP BV has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorised use of data and is contractually bound to confidentiality.

E-mail and mailing lists
Shop newsletter
Our newsletter is sent through the shop's own software; your name and e-mail address are stored securely in our systems and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. At the bottom of every newsletter you will always find an unsubscribe link; once you unsubscribe you will no longer receive it.
TransIP BV
For our regular business e-mail we use the services of TransIP BV. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. TransIP BV has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail confidentially.

Payment processors
Mollie
For handling (part of) the payments in our shop we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address and city details as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data and reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, within that framework, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All safeguards mentioned above also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than permitted by the statutory periods.

Shipping and logistics
Carriers
When you place an order, it is our job to have your parcel delivered to you. For deliveries we use the services of carriers such as DHL, PostNL and UPS. This requires sharing your name, address and city details with the carrier, which will use them solely to perform the contract. Where the carrier engages subcontractors, it also makes your data available to those parties.
Invoicing and accounting
e-Boekhouden.nl
For our administration we use the software of e-Boekhouden.nl, with which we share your name, address and city details and the details of your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely; e-Boekhouden.nl is bound to confidentiality and will not use your data for purposes other than described above.

Purpose of the data processing
General purpose
We use your data exclusively for our services: the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you give us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we were to use it to contact you later for a reason other than your request, we will ask your explicit consent first. Your data is not shared with third parties other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. All these third parties are bound to confidentiality by contract, oath or legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data collected automatically by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
Where applicable, Shipsworld.NL BV may be required by law to share your data in connection with a governmental tax or criminal investigation. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities the law offers us.
Retention periods
We keep your data for as long as you are our client. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services, which we will also interpret as a request to be forgotten. Under applicable administrative obligations we must keep invoices with your (personal) data for the applicable statutory periods. Employees, however, no longer have access to your client profile and documents produced in connection with your assignment.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law you, as a data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke them.
To prevent misuse we generally only send statements and copies of your data to the e-mail address already known to us. Should you wish to receive the data at another e-mail address or by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we keep anonymised records. You receive all statements and copies in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems.
You also have the right at all times to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you suspect we are using your personal data incorrectly: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Right of access
You have the right to inspect the personal data we process about you at any time. When you log into your account you will find the option to download a file containing only the personal data we hold about you. In addition, you always have the right to change, rectify or delete your personal data. To do so, contact us through our contact form or e-mail info@relojesnauticos.es.
We will handle your request within one working day, provided we have established your identity, and you will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the e-mail address known to us, with an overview of the processors holding this data and the category under which we store it.
Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person, or is traceable to it, transferred to another party. You can submit such a request to our privacy contact person and will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you statements or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that other processors or third parties have processed on our behalf. In all likelihood we will then no longer be able to continue our services, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
Where applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Shipsworld.NL BV. If you object, we will immediately suspend the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make statements and/or copies of the data available to you and permanently cease the processing.
You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a way that makes this right applicable; if you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy contact person.
Cookies
Google Analytics
Cookies of the American company Google are placed through our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be required under applicable laws and regulations to give access to this data. We have not permitted Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.

Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time; on this page you will always find the most recent version. If the new privacy policy affects the way we process data already collected about you, we will notify you by e-mail.
