The historic Danish house E.S. Sørensen of Copenhagen has been making oil lamps and ship lanterns for generations: from the cabin lamp to the storm lantern, in solid brass that ages with dignity. Since 2000 the brand has lived under the roof of the Danish house Delite, which keeps the classic production alive — including the famous storm glasses.

Just as important is its role as the source of original spare parts: wicks in every width, glass chimneys, burners and galleries for practically every lamp in our collection — including models with decades of service behind them. It is the difference between a throwaway object and a lamp for life.

How to choose an E.S. Sørensen lamp

The four classics: Ship's Lamp and Captain's Cabin for on board (with gimbal and smoke bell), Old Danish as a table lamp for saloon or living room, and Petrolux as a lantern. Choose polished lacquered brass or stainless steel, and check the wick width (in "lines", e.g. 10''') and the glass on the product page: the two most requested spares, which we stock for models decades old. Use pure lamp oil only.
