How to choose a miner's lamp

The miner's lamp is the classic pit lantern reborn as a nautical and decorative object. Choose between the oil version, for the terrace, the porch or the saloon table, and the electric one, which gives the same look as a wall or table lamp without a flame. Do they really work or are they decorative?

They work: faithful replicas of the miners' safety lamp, with reservoir, wick and glass chimney, burning lamp oil. And they decorate, of course — on the terrace table, the porch or the wheelhouse.

What is the difference between brass and nickel?

Only the finish: golden brass gives the classic look; the half-nickel/half-brass version is more sober and contemporary. The workings are identical.
